Welcome to Merchant Inspired! This startup is a true labor of love 14 months in the making and I am so grateful you stopped by. My day job consists of three descriptions: mother, wife, merchant. Almost two years ago the merchant part took a back seat when we moved to a new city and had child #2- but the passion I had for the job (and the industry as a whole) would not subside. I missed being a part of it all- the product, the people, the stores, line presentations, and especially mentoring. So with a few freelance projects under my belt I decided to launch a consulting business- where I can utilize my knowledge and experience on a daily basis. Whether I am analyzing a brands position within the market or providing strategies for the upcoming season- I can say with certainty I truly love what I do.
Secondly, launching Merchant Inspired gives me a platform on social media to showcase why the retail industry is so amazing. I consider myself incredibly fortunate for the roles I have had, the brands I worked for, and the talent I have met along the way. My goal is to be a resource or a guide- whether you are working in retail or are a loyal customer. This is my way of showcasing why a product, person, job, or business is worth your time. At the end of the day, whether you are a potential consulting partner or a fan of the page- my hope is that you are inspired.
